This session didn’t go quuuuuite as planned…. to start off I was supposed to fly in over a day in advance and thanks to airline delays, I made it with like 3 minutes to spare. Then there was the weather….it was in the high 30’s with blustery winds and a mix of sleet/snow/rain. Not exactly ideal for photos. This adorable couple was seriously the best sports though…enduring the horrible conditions and ignoring numb fingers and toes. :) It was totally worth it because I absolutely love the way these photos turned out! From the stormy, moody skies…to the one peek of sun we had…the weather added some gorgeous drama to this engagement session.
There were a few hiccups in this engagement session….a rain delay….a minor wardrobe malfunction, so it ended up being two separate sessions to get all the images. The two sessions were worth it, as the resulting photos are some of my all-time favorites. Not to mention, the two subjects are also some of my favorites. :)
Let me just start off by saying I. Loved. This. Session. We had perfect weather (yes, I’m based out of AZ, but you’d be surprised!), the bride-to-be brought her own adorable props, the light was gorgeous, and I had an absurdly good looking couple to work with. I can’t wait for their fall wedding…..
I’m loving these spring shoots…..the weather has been absolutely perfect and the light couldn’t be better. After a few slower months through winter of mainly headshot shoots and what not, it’s time to switch it back up to the super fun engagements, family, maternity, etc. And next month starts wedding season!! :)
This couple was so much fun to work with…..super laid back and up for anything! Seriously, I suggested we shoot in a bull pasture (where technically the bulls were still located, haha) and they didn’t even question me on it. Luckily the bulls kept their distance and we got some great images out of the location.
This sweet couple couldn’t have had a better day to shoot their engagement pictures! So fun to be able to capture their adorable love for one another. Looking forward to shooting their country wedding in May!
This couple was so fun to work with….even the horses at the ranch couldn’t help but join in. Especially mine…he was a bit of a camera hog….naturally. :)
