This session was shot when I was back home in MN over the week of Thanksgiving. As you can imagine, MN in late November is cooooooold! This mommy and son were awesome though and handled the cold way better than I did. I’m quite sure AZ has thinned my blood! It was a fun change to have snow and pines to shoot in….and I thought the dogsled (which I borrowed from my parents’ Alaskan Malamute) gave the pics a very “northwoods” touch. And on a different note, this kid’s blue eyes…..ridiculous. :)

Meet my niece and nephew….they’re a couple of spitfires, but man are they adorable. When my sister-in-law hired me to do this shoot, the only photo she specifically requested was the naked booty and boots pic. I had about 2 seconds to get the image as Miles wasn’t exactly stable on his feet, but the result was adorable! Can’t wait until he’s a teenager, he’s gonna hate me over that pic. :)

Sorry about the post overload for the month of January….my website spazzed out briefly so I had to take all the albums down and re-upload them. It was super fun. ;) Sooooo….most of what has been posted in the “January” section were taken from Sept to Nov.
Now that the disclaimer is over, here’s a family session from a stormy day in late October. I loved the dramatic feel the ominous clouds provided! Being it’s Arizona though, once we moved locations, the skies cleared and we had sun and gorgeous light to end the shoot.

This sweet couple couldn’t have had a better day to shoot their engagement pictures! So fun to be able to capture their adorable love for one another. Looking forward to shooting their country wedding in May!

Shot this session in a gorgeous backyard in the boulders….made for such a pretty location. It was part family…part friends….all super fun!

Babies can be a bit of loose canons when it comes to shoots….seriously. One second they’ll be looking adorable, the next they’re turning on me quicker than I can click my shutter. This sweet girl was a dream! Didn’t hear a peep of protest out of her….not even when she was swaddled on a probably not so comfy moose antler. :)

This couple was so fun to work with….even the horses at the ranch couldn’t help but join in. Especially mine…he was a bit of a camera hog….naturally. :)

Was probably the worst day all fall to take pics……cold and WINDY! Our shooting locations were determined by where we would be sheltered from the wind. This cute lil’ fam took it like champs though!

Such a fun session with this ridiculously good looking family. They made my job so easy…..f’reals. :) From me building an impromptu teepee, to my dog joining in on the family pics…..they were up for anything!
