A person would be hard-pressed to find two nicer people than these two. They were a dream to work with, and don’t even get me started on their adorable daughter. I normally like to do detail shots alone, so I can really focus; but when their sweet little girl asked to tag along I couldn’t say no. And she actually ended up being quite the little helper. Made for a really fun wedding to photograph.

If you were to ask me to dream up a wedding to photograph, it would probably look something like this. I met this lovely couple for an engagement session in AZ, and they told me about their wedding the following year taking place cliff-side in California. I remember thinking how lucky their photographer was gonna be; and then a few months later they asked if I’d be willing to travel. Needless to say they didn’t have to twist my arm. The stunning cliffs of Big Sur, CA provided the perfect setting for this gorgeous wedding….from the beautiful resort, to the flowers, to the accessories, not a detail was overlooked. If anyone else wants to have a cliff-side wedding, please sign me up.

Fall can’t be beat in Northern Minnesota. But I will admit it’s tricky to time, as every year is different. This couple couldn’t have been luckier with the timing. The leaves were at peak, and it hadn’t turned too cold yet. Well, I guess that point could be argued. It was 36 degrees….but I wasn’t the one in a sleeveless gown. :) I had so much fun capturing their stunning day.

Anyone who knows me is aware I’m not the biggest fan of the desert. Mainly because I hate snakes and for the longest time saguaros weirded me out….something about their arms…. it’s not right. :) That being said, I think this family session has officially converted me into a desert lover. The colors, the soft light, the beautiful family….perfection.
