Desert sessions have officially stolen my heart. The light and setting for this engagement session was perfect! It also doesn’t hurt that these two were ridiculously photogenic..
These two wanted a very “old elegance” feel to their wedding day, and they accomplished that beautifully. The Hassayampa Inn was the perfect setting to complete the old Prescott ambiance.
These two wanted a very “fall-ish” looking setting for their engagement shoot, and I definitely think this spot fit the bill. I’m so glad I got to do one last shoot at this historic location before it became a hotel.
After a crazy busy fall wedding season, I’m just now finding the time to post some of these shoots to the web….so I’ll apologize now for the sudden onslaught. This wedding in particular is by far one of my favorites….granted taking place in beautiful Orange, CA and having my toddler in the wedding automatically will put it towards the top of my list, but I also adore this couple. Their day was so dang beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier for these two. Oliver still talks about dancing the night away with “Em-b-ily”. :)
Families don’t come cuter than this one…..and I’ve seen a bunch. :) Her family ranch provided the most beautiful backdrop for this adorable session….I mean we even had two cows posing in the background. It doesn’t get better.
These two had a big wedding planned on the beach in Mexico, but as not all family could make that celebration, they decided to do another small ceremony in the pines here in Prescott. It was simple, intimate, and so dang beautiful. Nothing against the beaches of Mexico…but this would be pretty hard to beat.
Fall is my favorite for multiple reasons, but one of the biggies is the beautiful buttery light it provides. The setting was nothing short of dreamy for this sweet maternity session. And like normal, their fur baby Maggie stole the show. I’ve never seen a Lab hesitant to walk in tall grass, but once she warmed up to the idea, there was no stopping her. 😂 Sticks had to be thrown really far to keep her out of the shot.
We had a typical early fall day in the southwest for these two…..insanely windy! Had it not been that they were driving up from the valley to do the engagement session, we would have definitely rescheduled. Luckily these two were insanely photogenic, so they would have looked good in any conditions. We did a combination of hiding from the wind, and then just embracing….and honestly I’m a little partial to the dramatic flare it adds.
If you’ve followed my work at all, you know I can’t resist a backyard wedding….when the “backyard” is a gorgeous lake in Northern Minnesota on the border of Canada, it honestly can’t be beat. This day had it all…beautiful setting, a little sun shower during the ceremony for good luck, and the sweetest couple around.
It was less than a year and a half ago that I was capturing this lovely couple’s wedding, and now they’ve added a precious baby girl to the family. These two are some of my favorite people and I’m so happy for them and their perfect little gomper. :)
