mundt wedding

This couple had to deal with every bride and groom’s nightmare…..their original photographer had to cancel on them 10 days prior to their wedding. 10 days. As luck would have it, I was scheduled to be in the area the weekend before and was able to extend my trip to capture their big day. I’m so glad it worked out because these two were so great to work with….and not to mention their wedding was drop dead gorgeous….

I was so happy I was able to coordinate with these two for a maternity shoot while I was back in MN! People honestly don’t come any sweeter, and their love and excitement for their little one on the way was so fun to capture. With these two as parents, she’s going to be one blessed babe!

This bride to-be texted me prior to their session to warn me that they weren’t photogenic….at all. The second I saw them pull up, I new she had lied. ;) These two were so fun and interactive, they were a blast to work with. Combine that with a perfect country backdrop….I’m in love with the results.

lindstrom wedding

Fall is a tricky time for weddings in northern Minnesota. It’s so hard to time when the leaves are going to change and when the weather is going to turn nasty. This couple timed it perfect though, and it made for such a lovely wedding day.

t + g wedding

If rain on a wedding day is good luck….this couple is going to be the luckiest couple ever. It seriously never…stopped…raining. And of course they had planned for the sweetest little ceremony and reception to be outside. Needless to say, that didn’t happen. But between using roofs, dodging drops, and a giant umbrella, we were still able to get some of my favorite wedding photos to date!

stone family

I was so looking forward to this shoot as I hadn’t seen Glenna since high school, and now she had a sweet family too. To say not everything went according to plan with this shoot would be a bit of an understatement. We had everything from a dead battery in my vehicle, rain showers to dodge, and then locked keys in the car. Even with the “challenges”…..this fall family session was so fun. And I’m a little obsessed with their little dog. The least outdoorsy dog I’ve ever seen and it was hilarious.

Oh how I loved shooting this wedding. The day had the most beautiful boho vibe to it, and it didn’t hurt that the couple was so stinkin’ striking . Set in Duluth, we were able to shoot the bridal portraits on the rocky shore of Superior; and then the ceremony and reception took place in a gorgeous historic warehouse, that has been converted into a beautiful venue. As a photographer, it doesn’t get much better!

This laid back, northwoods wedding will definitely go into the books as one of my favorites. Any wedding that requires taking a boat to….is my kind of wedding. Taking place at a remote canoe outfitter base on the edge of the BWCAW, the setting honestly couldn’t have been prettier. Couple that with lovely details, a sweet couple, and a ton of love poured into the day….woodsy perfection.

This session didn’t go quuuuuite as planned…. to start off I was supposed to fly in over a day in advance and thanks to airline delays, I made it with like 3 minutes to spare. Then there was the weather….it was in the high 30’s with blustery winds and a mix of sleet/snow/rain. Not exactly ideal for photos. This adorable couple was seriously the best sports though…enduring the horrible conditions and ignoring numb fingers and toes. :) It was totally worth it because I absolutely love the way these photos turned out! From the stormy, moody skies…to the one peek of sun we had…the weather added some gorgeous drama to this engagement session.
