Wrangler Holiday

Amidst the fall shoot craziness, I was asked by Wrangler to shoot some images for their holiday campaign. It was such a fun (and somewhat challenging, haha) project to work on. I say that only because the images were all about flannel lined…sherpa….looking cozy, etc….and it was August. In Arizona. 😂 Oh, and we were in a crazy heat wave….it was 100 degrees when we shot these. I had to take breaks for my cheeks to not be so red and for the sweat to stop running down my back. Also, to get the right light, I had maybe 40 minutes a day to shoot. All that being said, these images are some of my all time favorites.

baker family

Gale force winds were predicted in the afternoon for the day we scheduled this family session…..so I thought I’d be super smart and avoid it by switching to the morning. My plan worked up until I was about to click the shutter, and then the wind kicked up. Despite the less than ideal elements, I’m smitten over how this session turned out! I even kind of like the drama the wind added to the images….

sorrells wedding

I love capturing cowboy weddings….even when it’s 104 degrees in the desert. Although it could have been a little cooler, I adored capturing Ty and Brittney’s big day!

brisson wedding

The forecast had been predicting rain on their big day all week. Luckily, instead of any downpours, it was just the most lovely, romantic mist and fog. For a farm ceremony and a lakeside reception….it doesn’t get better.

lacey + lucas

This session ended up being a bit of a battle all around….my toddler and dogs all decided that they wanted to accompany Lacey and Lucas in their photos. Seriously….I had to just strategically crop Oliver out of the pics. :) Then of course there were the typical 40mph spring winds. I figured that wasn’t enough, so being both of these lovely people had a background in rodeo, I’d throw a horse in the mix for good measure. They handled it all like champs though, and I’m so happy with the results!

blackmore wedding

This lovely ranch wedding was the last one I was able to shoot this spring before the strict restrictions went into place. Luckily for me, it was a beautiful one to end on. I’ll just be over here daydreaming on this one until the weddings start up again….

kolbe + helen senior

These two widely photogenic seniors decided to do a combined session, and it ended up being so much fun. We started downtown and the weather was warm and sunny….by the time we hit the woods it was cloudy and cold…and then the lookout was freeeeeeezing and ridiculously windy. These two couldn’t have been better sports with it all though, and the resulting images made it totally worth it.

s + s engagement

Desert sessions have officially stolen my heart. The light and setting for this engagement session was perfect! It also doesn’t hurt that these two were ridiculously photogenic..
