When Jess first described to me the plans for her simple, boho backyard wedding, my first thought naturally was….are we the same person? Turns out we’re not, but man do we have similar taste. This gorgeous wedding goes to show that you’d don’t need anything extravagant to make for a beautiful day. The wedding was small, flawless and so filled with love. Definitely one of my favorites to date.

It didn’t take more than the bride telling me her wedding was going to have a french-country chic vibe and I was sold. These two were so lovely to work with and the Van Dickson Ranch provided such a beautiful backdrop for their special day.

This was such a fun shoot to do! This gorgeous gal is in the running for Miss AZ….and it’s not hard to see why! She needed a portfolio shoot and I’m so happy she found me. She’s so stinkin’ photogenic and seriously nailed every single pose idea I gave her. I can’t wait to work with this pretty gal again!

It’s been such a crazy busy fall, and I’ve been so lucky to have the sweetest clients to work with. This family was no exception. Plus, I don’t think families can come much cuter.

As this pair had planned just a small civil ceremony in Phoenix, when they were up here elk hunting, they wanted to do an “engagement” type shoot. Any couple that can go hunting together and still decide to get married….I’m impressed. :) These two were such a blast to work with and I couldn’t be happier for them!

After our first attempt getting completely rained out, mother nature totally redeemed herself with the light on the second attempt. This adorable family + set at the base of Granite Mountain + that light = perfection. As Alex and Mark didn’t get engagement photos or bridal portraits done, we had to sneak in a few of just the two of them too.

I adore this little lady and her momma. She’s seven weeks behind Oliver in age and it’s so fun to watch them grow together. This little doll is all girl though….even her cry is cute and feminine. :)

We meant to shoot family photos when miss K was just a babe, but better late than never! Two years later, this family is still the cutest. Actually, I take that back….they get cuter.

I swear this wedding was designed with a photographer in mind. There were so many sentimental details and personal touches. From the hand-me-down pearls, the wedding dress worn by both the bride’s mother and grandmother, the wedding arch the couple made out of horse shoes (both are farriers), and the buckskin dress with beads passed down the generations. Everything had a story….and so much love.
